Waterproof Flooring

Water is the thing that ruins most floors. Waterproof flooring is made so that a spilled pot, a pet accident or a damp basement does not swell, cup or peel the floor. Rigid-core vinyl plank is the most popular option, and porcelain tile and sealed concrete are waterproof in their own way.

We install waterproof flooring for homes across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville basements, laundry rooms and kitchens. We look at where moisture comes from, choose a product that fits, prepare the subfloor and seal edges and transitions so that the floor is protected where water is most likely to reach it.

FAQ

Common questions about waterproof flooring

Does waterproof flooring mean the whole floor is protected from a flood?

The planks resist water, but standing water can still get under edges and into the subfloor. Waterproof flooring protects against spills and humidity, not a flood.

Is waterproof flooring good in a basement?

Yes, once moisture is under control. We check the slab and recommend a moisture barrier where it is needed.

Is it noisy or hollow underfoot?

A quality underlayment and core make waterproof planks quiet and solid underfoot.
