Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Hardwood is made to be refinished. Scratches, worn spots, dull finish, water rings and outdated color can all be sanded away, and a new finish protects the wood again. Refinishing is usually far less disruptive than replacing a floor.

We refinish hardwood floors for homes across Middle Tennessee, including older Nashville houses with original wood. We repair damaged boards, sand in careful passes, apply stain if you want a new color and finish the floor with a durable coat that suits your use.

FAQ

Common questions about hardwood refinishing

How do I know if my floor can be refinished?

Most solid hardwood can be, and many engineered floors can too if the wear layer is thick enough. We check the thickness before we start.

How long before I can walk on a refinished floor?

Light foot traffic is often fine after a day, with furniture and rugs waiting longer. Cure times depend on the finish.

Is refinishing dusty?

Modern dust containment systems capture most of the dust. We prepare and protect the home before sanding.
