Natural Stone Floors

Natural stone has color and depth that manufactured tile can only copy. Each piece is different, and the floor becomes a one-of-a-kind surface. Stone also needs more care: it can be porous, sensitive to acids and it needs the right setting materials and sealer.

We install natural stone floors for homes across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville foyers, baths and kitchens. We sort the stone for color, set it on a prepared surface with suitable mortar and seal it so that it stays beautiful.

Common questions about natural stone

Does marble stain?

Marble is porous and etches with acids such as lemon juice or vinegar. Sealing helps, and honed finishes hide etching better.

Is slate good for floors?

Yes, slate is durable and naturally slip resistant.

How often should stone be sealed?

It depends on the stone and use, often every one to three years.
