How do I know if my subfloor is bad?
Soft spots, bounce, stains and squeaks are signs. We inspect from above and below when we can.
Can I put new flooring over a damaged subfloor?
It is not a good idea. The damage will show through and shorten the life of the new floor.
Is subfloor work messy?
