A floor can fail because of what rises from below. A damp concrete slab sends moisture up through wood, laminate and vinyl, causing cupping, mold and stuck adhesive. A vapor barrier or moisture-control coating stops that vapor. Underlayment adds cushion, sound control and a smoother surface.
We install moisture barriers and underlayment for homes across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville basements, slabs and upstairs condos. We test the slab, choose the product for the floor above and install it to the manufacturer's rules.
